Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas launched the first Hope for 100 campaign in January 2009. It is the prayer of the Leadership Team for this campaign to multiply to churches throughout the United States and all over the world!

VISION 
Hope for 100 exists to challenge and support Green Acres Baptist Church to obey God's Word by providing loving, Christian homes for 100 children through adoption or foster care.

HISTORY 
Following an adoption of their own, Rocky and Carrie Gill began to realize the biblical importance of caring for a vulnerable orphan. As they studied the Bible, it became increasingly more apparent that caring for the fatherless is a calling for the entire Church. However, it was evident that many churches were lacking an intentional outreach to the orphans of the world.

Several years ago Rocky served as the Campaign Chairman of the Tyler United Way drive. He began to dream of a similar campaign for orphans that would accomplish five things:

• Raise awareness of the plight of the fatherless.
• Issue a specific challenge to the Church to care for a targeted number of orphans.
• Begin to match interested families with families who have already answered the call to be foster or adoptive families to give guidance and encouragement.
• Provide an array of opportunities to care for orphans through an Ongoing Orphan Care Ministry.
• Help provide the necessary funds to families seeking to adopt.
